Bench vice is a universal fixture used to hold workpiece. The device is on the worktable to clamp and stabilize the workpiece, which is the necessary tool for fitter workshop. The rotary clamp body can be rotated to make the workpiece rotate to the appropriate working position.
How to maintain the bench vice?
1. When the bench vice is installed, a part of the jaw fixed on the clamp body must be located at the edge of the bench vice, so as to ensure that the workpiece will not be obstructed by the edge of the bench when clamping the long strip workpiece.
2. The bench vice must be firmly fixed on the vise table, and the three compression screws must be tightened to ensure that the vise body is not loose during processing, otherwise the vice will be damaged and the processing will be affected.
3. When clamping the workpiece, only use the force of hand to pull the handle, never use a hammer or other sleeve to pull the handle, so as to avoid damage to the lead screw, nut or clamp body.
4. It is not allowed to knock the workpiece on the jaw, but should be on the platform fixed on the clamp body, otherwise the jaw will be damaged.
5. Lead screw, nut and other sliding surfaces are required to be kept clean and lubricated.
Precautions for bench vice
(1) When clamping the workpiece, it is necessary to tighten the handle properly, and it is not allowed to use other tools to increase force.
(2) The force should be directed towards the fixed clamp body as far as possible during the strong operation.
(3) It is not allowed to knock on the movable clamp body and smooth surface.
(4) The screw, nut and other moving surfaces should be often cleaned and lubricated to prevent rust.
